And our development hasn't gone without recognition. In the summer of 2003, El Dorado Ranch was given special recognition as one of Baja's most outstanding developments at a specially held press conference attended by President Fox, the National Minister of Tourism, Governor of Baja California, and Baja Minister of Tourism.
In 2006, Pat Butler is awarded the 2006 Baja Developer of the Year, the first ever given by the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California.
Distinguished Executive Award - Pat Butler, Developer of El Dorado Ranch and La Ventana del Mar, and co developer of Estrella del Mar, receives the 2006 Ejecutivo Distinguido (Distinguished Executive) Award for his contributions to the community of San Felipe, Mexico.
Pat Butler was recently awarded the Mexicali Business Executive of the Year 2006 Award. This was a special honor because it’s only the third time in the 47-year history of the organization that the award has been presented to a foreigner (one other American and a Chinese business man who opened factories in Mexicali.) This award was made possible because of a lot of people that have been a major part of the development of El Dorado Ranch – Pat's wife Doreen; all of the managers and staff in the Denver, San Felipe, and Mexicali offices, the state and city government offices who El Dorado Ranch heavily depend on for permits; the suppliers; R-MAC and Classic Pacific partners; and of course all of the loyal owners and members.
